Missouri AG Bailey to Newsmax: Trump Gag Orders ‘Violated’ Rights

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey told Newsmax on Thursday that the gag orders imposed on former President Donald Trump during his various trials have “violated” the rights of the president and his supporters.

“It’s time to unify this country around President Trump and his Make America Great Again, America First movement,” Bailey said from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee while appearing on “National Report.” “You see that happening everywhere in Milwaukee, here at the RNC.”

Bailey went on to criticize the gag orders and various legal cases brought against Trump as “lawfare,” a term that refers to using laws to target an opponent. Bailey is suing the state of New York over these gag orders, which he argues were designed to prevent Trump from participating in the presidential election.
