Rep. Roger Willams, R-Texas, said Thursday it’s “unbelievable” that it took a presidential proclamation to remind the U.S. of an immutable truth from the “beginning of time,” telling Newsmax “we need to move on” now that order has been restored on the two sexes as God intended.

Williams joined “National Report” to discuss President Donald Trump’s executive order on Wednesday barring biological men from playing in women’s sports. That order followed one from Trump’s first day in office, when he ordered the federal government to define sex as male or female.

“I think it’s been supported from the beginning of time,” Williams said. “And it’s unbelievable, isn’t it, that we had to have a signing ceremony, a press conference about a man and a woman. But that’s where our country had gone under the Biden administration. Now we’ve got it back on track. So look, we’ve reminded ourselves, as of yesterday, there’s a man and a woman, and we need to move from there.
